Company Profile: University of Hawaii Kapi‘olani Community College, one of 10 colleges within the University of Hawai‘i System, has a long, colorful history. Its solid reputation in culinary arts, hospitality, health services, liberal arts and business education, is sprinkled with delightful stories of campus moves, student and faculty successes, and classroom innovations.

The University of Hawaii Kapi‘olani Community College campus is located on the slopes of Diamond Head crater just minutes from Waikiki. The modern campus was designed to blend with its beautiful natural surroundings. Twenty attractive buildings are set around a lush central lawn. To the north are the Ko‘olau Mountains, to the south Diamond Head and the Pacific Ocean. The eastern side of the campus offers a panoramic view of Koko Head and Maunalua Bay. To the west are Waikīkī and downtown Honolulu.

Our modern campus is architecturally integrated with its beautiful natural surroundings. The building names serve as a reminder to students of the natural environment and reference native plants that are either endemic or indigenous to Hawaii. Some of buildings have their namesake plant at the entrance.
