In consultation with the Director, each student will select an area of concentration upon acceptance into the program. This will define that student’s specialization in a sector or geographic region based on his or her career interests.


Academic Travel

The Academic Travel Program has been an integral part of the Franklin Switzerland curriculum for more than 40 years. Academic travel is a credit bearing degree requirement. Students begin their study of the course theme and the region where they will be traveling 4 weeks prior to the trip. Travel is led by a faculty member and relates to the academic expertise of the professor and to his or her knowledge of a given country or region.
