Company Profile

The Gilbert School is an international boarding high school with an enrollment of 570. Set up in the mountains, the school offers 3 levels of ESL and is a TOEFL testing school. We accept grades 9, 10 & 11. Class ratio is 15:1. 13 AP and 10 Honors are offered. A partnership with the town community college is offered to 11 and 12 grade students to take 2 courses each semester for free. This is a huge benefit for highly motivated students. TOEFL and SAT Prep courses are encouraged. Winsted is a small, safe town of 8,000 and is located two hours from both Boston and New York City. Both bordering states offer many impressive colleges for our students to visit and apply to. In 2016, US News and World Report awarded us the Silver Medal award making The Gilbert School one of the top 10% high schools of all 20,000 in the US. We offer 51 clubs and activities and 19 sports teams all that are sponsored by Nike.
