Nepal is a beautiful Himalayan country with rich treasures of natural and cultural heritages. Kathmandu, the capital city, features exciting ancient temples and a rich cultural life. Nepal has a rich treasury of conventional knowledge and has a lively academic community.
However, there is a dearth of sufficient number of academic and training institutions in the higher education sector in the country. Accordingly, thousands of students go abroad for higher studies from Nepal each year. It is estimated that over 10-15 thousand students go abroad for higher studies on scholarships/assistantships/self-finance basis each year.
There are more than 200+ institutions formally registered with the Government of Nepal-Ministry of Education for providing Educational Counseling services to these students. However, the need of professional education counseling institutions is still widely felt.
