New uni visa system is a done deal

Universities Australia has recommended the sector sign up to new streamlined student visa processing after agreeing guidelines with immigration.

Under the system, which was recommended by last year?s Knight review, international students enrolling in a participating universities will be dubbed low risk and face lower and fewer hurdles in securing a visa, while in return universities take on more responsibility for student bona fides.
