Sewing as a therapy that leads to so much more

by Danny Harrington, Founder & Director, ITS Education Asia I enjoyed this article in The Guardian the other day not least because it confirms something we have known and been doing at ITS since 2009 – that sewing workshops provide a space and a meaningful activity in which people from any walk of life and at any age can come together and gain value in their lives.I’m not able of…See More

by Danny Harrington, Founder & Director, ITS Education Asia Leadership is a characteristic that seems to be perpetually elusive. We recognise it when we see or experience it in others. We often struggle to do the same when the burden falls on our own shoulders. And when it comes to putting pen to paper, it seems to me…See More

Brexit benefits: British schooling more affordable for international students

Through most of the 20th century, until about the 1980s, a private education became gradually more affordable in the UK as earning power of the middle classes grew faster than the fees charged by most independent schools. However, the last 30 years or so has seen these gains eroded as middle incomes have stagnated. The last 10 years in particular have seen the ratio of fees to…See More

Online Education Additional Services Resources search RSS Resilience – are you a survivor?

Questions of resilience – what it is, where it comes from, why some have more than others, and whether there is less of it around – seem to be increasingly prevalent. While we need to be careful that we don’t make the age-old mistake of assuming “our generation had it tougher and this one has it easy”, or…See More

Higher Education Policy Institute [HEPI] estimates GBP 2 billion potential loss for UK

report published on Thursday by the HEPI makes grim reading for the higher education sector in the UK. While the reports highlights there are a number of potential financial benefits to universities from the UK leaving the EU, when proposed visa restrictions are factored in, not only are these reversed, they are completely annihilated to the tune of a potential loss to the wider UK economy of a staggering…See More

Company Profile
ITS Education Asia has operated two schools in Hong Kong since 2005. We offer individualized, flexible learning in classes of one to six students. This may be in
addition to, or as an alternative to, mainstream schooling. The key is to help every learner that comes to us recognize and achieve their academic & educational goals. We are
accredited as an Edexcel Academic Centre [92885] to offer the UK IGCSE and A-level qualifications. As an accredited UCAS centre [S45903] we send students to UK universities. We are a Cambridge ATS Centre [HK109] to facilitate specialized university applications and a registered British Council agent for IELTS for further English language qualifications for student visas and university entry. We have a US admissions service for both school choice and SAT/ACT preparation. Since 2014 we have offered our schooling online using live lesson technology and now our students are located around the world. In 2016 we will become a Pearson BTEC centre to offer levels 4 and 5 [HNC & HND] in Business online, and we will open a Level 4 Certificate in Experiential Learning in collaboration with a New Zealand polytechnic for students in Hong Kong [it will qualify for student visa sponsorship].
